Artist's Description
This gray heron occasionally makes a public appearance in our local park. This very calm bird can have a wingspan of up to 2 metres, reach a height of 1.0 metre, and weigh as much as 2.1 kg. This heron stood still surrounded by mallard ducks. Taken during a sunny, autumn day.
